Proud Moment

I have been visiting the Victorian Quilters Showcase exhibition for at least 15 years now and been thoroughly inspired every year by the amazing quilts that are created.  This year, with the encouragement of family and friends I have entered my own quilt into this exhibition - what a blast to see my own quilt on display at the exhibition.  It was a lovey show and once again I came away with a renewed enthusiasm for quilting - I only bought a little bit of fabric;-)

Gill Cross - beautiful quilt

Gill has made this gorgeous William Morris quilt, she has meticulously hand blanket stitched around all of the applique creating this beautiful quilt.  I was so excited when Gill brought her quilt to me and said "quilt it however you want"  I quilted around all of the applique as closely as I could then I had fun quilting in the feathers and cross-hatching - along with a few curls and swirls.  Gill entered her quilt in this years Victorian Quilters Showcase exhibition - what a proud moment to see Gill's quilt on display.
